Building Businesses from the Signature.

Strategic advisory for founders and ventures ready to change the economic logic of how they operate.

What I Do

Most founders build from the market. They study demand, follow patterns, build what's expected. It works – until it doesn't. Because everyone looking at the same market builds the same thing.

Building from the Signature means starting somewhere else entirely – with the expertise, convictions and perspective a founder brings that no one else can replicate. Not as a branding exercise. As an economic architecture.

I work with founders and ventures to build Signature Businesses: businesses where the offer is built around a specific way of thinking, the pricing reflects the weight of that perspective, and the structure compounds over time instead of resetting every year.

My background: 15 years in business design, product innovation and strategy with global companies. The pattern was always the same – the businesses that win long-term aren't built on what the market asks for. They're built on a signature way of creating value, and a structure that turns it into economics.

The Economics

The market for generic expertise is collapsing. Methodologies that used to signal depth are now replicable. Frameworks that justified premium rates are being commoditized. What holds its value – the only thing that holds its value – is judgement that can't be separated from the person who holds it.

A Signature Business is built on that reality.

Pricing power. When an offer is built around a perspective no one else can credibly deliver, price competition disappears. Not as a negotiation tactic – as a structural consequence of being irreplaceable in a specific context.

Revenue that doesn't depend on time. When the value lives in how someone thinks rather than how many hours they work, the ceiling moves. IP, systems and leverage replace linear scaling.

A business that compounds. Reputation, inbound, market position – each year builds on the last. Every engagement strengthens the next. Every public argument reinforces the position. This is the opposite of the annual reset that most expertise businesses operate under.

This is the logic behind every engagement at The SAVVY Foundation.

THE WORK

I take on a small number of engagements each year. Each is a focused strategic advisory engagement – working directly with me on the architecture of a Signature Business.

The scope covers four areas:

Signature & Strategic Foundation. What makes this business distinct – not just good. Where the economic edge actually comes from. The strategic direction that connects a founder's perspective with where the market opportunity is.

Positioning & Market Architecture. How to own a market space instead of competing for one. A business model designed around leverage, not hours.

Offer Design. A concrete offer that makes the thinking visible before anyone commits. Not a portfolio of past work – something that demonstrates how this business sees the problem differently.

Demand & Growth Architecture. The system that generates and converts demand. Growth logic, go-to-market approach, and the visibility strategy that builds market position over time.

The outcome is a fully developed Signature Business – a distinctive position, a concrete offer, and the architecture to grow it.

Who This Is For

The SAVVY Foundation works with founders, ventures and leadership teams who are ready to make a structural change to how their business operates – not just optimise what already exists.

This is not the right engagement for everyone. It requires strategic focus, a willingness to make real choices, and the conviction that the way a business is built matters as much as what it sells.
